2007 has been a roller coaster year for Leeroy Burrel with many memorable highlights.
In April he was part of a massive 45 day long tour around Brazil, playing in Belo
Horizonte at Major Lock, as well as Kraemer for a British Invasion tour. Other clubs
played at as part of the tour was Fiction in Goiana, Hellooch in Curitiba, and not
forgetting Sao Paulo’s world famous club which was voted number 21 in Mixmags
“Top 50 Clubs in the World” – D Edge.
Following the success of his gig at D Edge after a monster set, which impressed the promoter after knowing exactly what sound the crowd in Sao Paulo crave for, his track, Tripnology was quickly snapped up and signed to D Edge’s compilation album. After the huge success of his tour, bringing him even more bookings in the UK also, he was quickly signed up to the BRUK Agency, where along with DJ’s such as Darren Price (Underworld), Fergie, King Roc and Spektre who are also on the agency, this goes to show that there has been a talent recognised in Leeroy Burrel and he is ready to be taken to the top in 2008.

Briefly mentioned earlier after being signed to D Edge’s compilation album, another notch to add to his belt for this year is the monster track made with Hauswerks, called “Tripnology”. An upbeat jacking track which encompasses a Minimal-Funky-Techno sound, tearing roofs off after the main break kicks in.

Comments already received:
Sarah Main (Pacha resident) – “Nice track... Reminiscent of Gabriel Ananda's
Dopplewhipper”
Petrae Foy – “Really good track. I’ll be playing it deffo!”
Jon Gurd – “Really like this track. Will definitely be playing it”
Filthy Rich – “Loving the new track dude……good work”
Gaz James - HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Other tracks from Leeroy along with Hauswerks include “Hypnotik”. A track that has been going down a storm around Brazil, with plays from John Acquaviva, Flow & Zeo, and Gaz James naming it his tune of his recent tour of Brazil.“What Was That” became the first release on Toxik World Records and received impressive reactions from Funk D’Void and Robin Tabor (Resist Music A&R). The track was also reviewed by Piliavin & Zimbardo for IDJ Magazine to which it received a well earned 5/5 and was also given 4/5in DJ Mag.

With 7 years DJ experience under his belt, he is looking forward to what
2008 has install for him. Already underway are the plans for Leeroy’s next tour of Brazil, which is looking to be scheduled around the middle of the year for a period of around 3 weeks. Already snapping him up and wanting to welcome him back with open arms is of course, D Edge.
